Personalized Healthcare for Women - A GENOLOAM & BIGCARE Joint Venture

For decades, women have been dominating healthcare decision-making not only for themselves, but also for their spouses, children, parents and even friends. The United States Department of Labor estimates that women make about 80% of healthcare decisions for their families and this trend is similar in other countries of the world. Moreover, the realities of our society and healthcare today make women’s influence and health-related expectations greater than ever. Therefore, we believe that if women are able to pursue healthier lives in a more convenient and cheaper way than they are now, their family members would all be healthier and happier as well. In this way, we can offer targeted personalized healthcare services, make our countries more stable and citizens more hopeful for a healthier future ahead.

With a better and healthier future in mind, GENOLOAM is focusing on the following facts:

According to recent research, more than 70% of women on average in 38 OECD member countries are the primary decision makers about various health and life related matters not only for themselves, but also for their children, spouse and parents. For this reason, the majority of pharmaceutical companies, medical institutions, test laboratories, health supplement providers, health service providers and insurance companies in the healthcare field are all focusing their business, marketing and advertising on women as the primary service target.

GENOLOAM together with BigCare, our Korean partner in AI & Bigdata technologies, has established a Joint Venture Company to focus primarily on improving women’s health and life cycle. We are making great efforts to provide personalized mobile diagnosis & healthcare services based on AI & Bigdata.

Our current service is:

  • 1. Focusing on the development of innovative specimen sampling methods specialized on women to offer health-related examinations at a very affordable price anytime, anywhere.

  • 2. Women’s life stages are based on the reproductive cycle, beginning with menstruation and ending with menopause, and these are the basis for main fundamental differences between men and women that should also be approached differently. Instead of providing women with medical data results that are difficult to understand for the general public, we aim to provide them with important health-related information that can be easily understood in relation to their daily lives and applied by themselves, so that women could improve their health together with us and through our service.

To achieve this goal, GENOLOAM & BigCare have been working together with AI and Datamining team from Digital Analysis Department of Yonsei University, one of the leading top universities in Korea. Moreover, we are discussing close collaboration with highly acclaimed medical institutions in Europe, such as University of Oulu Hospital in Finland and VTT Technical Research Centre of Finland.

GENOLOAM will be establishing subsidiaries of this Joint Venture in both Nordic and Korea, and we expect to launch our specialized service for women in early 2023, starting with the Nordic region.
